| VERDICT | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Russian has been a quarter-finalist on two of her four visits to Wimbledon, but for a world number five with a US Open title to her credit that represents a poor return. Last year she fell in the third round to China's Li Na. Kuznetsova has a huge forehand which can cause anyone trouble – as she showed again in reaching the French Open final in 2006 – but keeping it consistent for seven rounds will be tough. A former Eastbourne winner, she has qualities she has yet to fully exploit here. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
