| Solid rather than spectacular sums up Davydenko, but that's not bad for a player who's done as well as the Russian has. His game has few weaknesses and that solidity helped him scoop five titles in 2006, including the prestigious Paris Masters. Many feel he lacks a big weapon to get him out of trouble against the true elite, although he pushed both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal hard on clay this season. Grass is a different matter though and Davydenko's record on the surface is truly awful. With just one win here in the past, expect to see him make an early exit. |
