duo at the double

The Wimbledon women's doubles title went to second seeds Cara Black, of Zimbabwe, and South African Liezel Huber, who maintained their 100 per cent record in SW19 by reclaiming the title they won in 2005.

They lost only their second set of the tournament against Katarina Srebotnik, of Slovakia, and Ai Sugiyama, of Japan, in Sunday's final but fought back for a 3-6 6-3 6-2 win to add the Wimbledon crown to their Australian Open title.

The result enabled the 28-year-old Black to regain the number one world doubles ranking.

Srebotnik and Sugiyama, who also lost in the final of the French Open, took the first set after securing the only break but allowed their experienced opponents to level and both then dropped their serve at the start of the deciding set.
