1855 - the end is nigh for Henin.

2002: What a day we've seen the ladies' top seed Justine Henin dumped out and now Andy Roddick has blown a two-set lead aggainst Richard Gasquet. The Frenchman will be back here tomorrow at 1100 against Roger Federer. See you then.

2000: It's over. Roddick again comes to the net but can't control a volley off his laces and it's into the net. Gasquet claims a memorable 4-6 4-6 7-6 7-6 8-6 win. It's the first time he's ever come back from two sets down. What a fightback.

1959: A double fault from Roddick makes it 15-30. The next point sees Roddick charge the net but a brilliant forehand pass brings up two match points.

1956: Two more aces and more convincing hold this time for the 12th seed. Gasquet leads 7-6 now. This is amazing stuff. What a day it's been in SW19.

1953: Gasquet's backhand produces another winner but it's the only point he wins in game 12. Roddick levels at 6-6.

1950: Roddick gets it back to deuce but then goes long - twice. Gasquet holds for 6-5.

1949: Roddick manages to get to deuce on the Gasquet serve for the first time in the set before an ace takes him to advantage. The umpire calls game - even he is getting caught up with the tension.

1945: Roddick levels at 5-5 with two aces in that last game. Both men are looking pretty solid on their own serve. We could be here a while yet.

1942: Another love hold from Gasquet. 5-4 and Roddick must serve to stay in the match.

1940: Roddick swats away a forehand on the next point. Mini-crisis over. 4-4 final set.

1939: Gasquet gets to 30-30 on Roddick's serve but misses with that backhand which has been firing so well.

1938: Venus Williams has credited sister Serena with helping her reach her sixth Wimbledon final today. "We just motivate each other so much," said Williams. "There's something about us. No matter where we're ranked, no matter where we are, no matter what the next person says, ultimately we just believe in ourselves, and I think that's what makes the difference." Beaten opponent, Ivanovic said: "I started a little bit nervous today and obviously she's a very good player and she was serving well. That was the biggest difference and she was very aggressive."

1935: Two aces from Gasquet in another love game. 4-3. Who will flinch first?

1933: Roddick holds to love. He's not ready to fold yet. 3-3.

1930: An easy hold for Gasquet takes him 3-2 ahead.

1927: Roddick slams down an ace to hold for 2-2. Gasquet is still cracking some great backhands and looks the more likely winner at the moment.

1923: Bartoli reaction to her win: She told the BBC: "It was very hard, my game was not on at all in the first set. Then I saw Pierce Brosnan, he is one of my favourite actors so I thought it would be good to play a bit of tennis. I tried to play a little better and here I am. I tried to focus on the ball and forget who I was playing and where I was playing. I'm so excited to be in the final, it's like a dream come true. If you told me that before the tournament I would not have trusted you."

1921: Roddick levels at 1-1 with a backhand winner of his own.

1920: Having taken the first game of the decider, Gasquet finally misses a backhand at 30-30 on Roddick's serve.

1914: The Gasquet backhand has been awesome today. He cracks another down the line to win the breaker 7-3. It's all sqaure after two hours and 50 minutes. Roddick is being outplayed at the moment. He knows this should be over. He led by two sets and a break remember.

1913: An ace from Roddick saves one. Gasquet goes long on the next. 6-3 but two serves to come for the French star.

1912: 5-1 Gasquet after a superb backhand. It's followed by a forehand cross-court winner which brings up five set points.

1911: At 3-0 Gasquet comes up with another amazing winner from way behind the baseline - 4-0 and a fifth set beckons.

1910: Gasquet wins the first point against the serve.

1909: At the dust settles on Centre, Gasquet holds on Court One and forces the fourth set into a tie-break. Roddick lost the one in the third set, can he finish the match off by winning this one?

1907: And another error - over the baseline from Henin completes a huge shock! Marion Bartoli will play Venus Williams in the Wimbledon final after beating the top seed 1-6 7-5 6-1.

1906: Henin sends a backhand into the tramlines for 30-0. Henin's return on the next point is also away to the side. Match points.

1905: The Bartoli forehand wins another point. That side has been particularly good today. 15-0.

1904: Henin holds and she stops a run of seven straight games against her. How often does that happen to the world number one? Bartoli will serve for a place in the final.

1903: 5-5 on Court One. Another tie-break looks likely.

1901: Drive volley from Bartoli to make it 15-15. Is there anything she can't do?

1900: Henin is known as one of the WTA Tour's great fighters, but this is some hole she's in.

1859: 5-0 Bartoli and she's just one game away from the final! Henin goes wide on her favourite backhand and it will take some comeback to win now.

1858: Henin pulls back to 40-30. Roddick now leads 5-4 on Court One, but that match is taking a back seat at the moment.

1856: A nerveless drop shot from Bartoli and it's 30-0. A winner into the corner 40-0.

1855: Henin goes wide and hangs her head in disappointment. It looks like she's going out in sensational fashion here.

1854: Two points for 4-0 to Bartoli! She doesn't make errors and is waiting for Henin to make hers. The Belgian is duly obliging.

1852: Over on Court One, serve is holding sway. Pretty even in the fourth set between Roddick and Gasquet. The Frenchman is serving at 3-4.

1850: She's like a wall, Bartoli. The ball just keeps coming back. And when Henin shanks a forehand way wide, the Frenchwoman has a 3-0 lead. Incredible scoreline on Centre.

1848: Bartoli misses another chance to go 3-0 up. This is a massive game now.

1847: Henin gets to Bartoli drop shot but just hits thhe tape with her reply and ball comes back on her side of the net. Deuce again.

1846: Henin nets - back to deuce. She earns another chance to break though. She needs to take one of these - now.

1845: Having saved three game points, Henin wins a brilliant rally to move to break point. A lively net exchange ends with Bartoli putting a lob beyond the baseline.

1843: Roger Federer is closing in on Bjorn Borg's record on five straight titles here and he's been talking about that in the press room after defeating Juan Carlos Ferrero earlier. "I'm very far in the tournament so of course I have started dreaming about winning the tournament once again," he said. "That has been my big goal since a year ago when I won my fourth, try to come back and win my fifth. I don't see that as pressure, more as a fun thing, a challenge really. It's a dream come true because I never thought I would chase down former greats."

1841: It's 2-2 on Court One now in the fourth set. Roddick leads by two sets to one.

1836: Bartoli has break point again! And she steps in to hit another winner for a 2-0 lead. A huge shock really is brewing here.

1835: Two more shots from Henin sail over the baseline from deuce and Bartoli has a 1-0 lead in the decider. Henin needs to be careful here.

1834: Bartoli saves two break points from 15-40 down in the opening game. Henin needs to cut out the unnecessary errors she's making. Bartoli has played well to get back in, but you feel Henin can finish this off by raising her level.

1832: Gasquet goes wide and Roddick holds. That was a big hold. He can't afford Gasquet to get a grip in this set too. The American could justifiably feel this match should already be over.

1831: Roddick saves two break points in the opening game of the fourth set before another opportunity presents itself. This time Roddick comes up with a stunning volley off his laces to save again.

1830: Bartoli comes to the net slam away a double-fisted backhand volley and it's one set all. If this continues we could be looking at one of Wimbledon's greatest shocks.

1829: Three set points to Bartoli after a double fault.

1828: Henin again falls 0-30 down. This time her famed backhand goes awry.

1826: Back on Centre, Bartoli moves 6-5 ahead after staving off two break points. She's played much better in this second set.

1825: A delicate volley makes it 6-2 and gives Gasquet four set points. And we're into a fourth set as Gasquet produces another backhand down the line winner. A great breaker from him and it's two sets to one now. Still plenty of work to do from Gasquet but he's very much alive.

1824: Gasquet leads 4-2 at the change of ends and a superb backhand pass makes it 5-2. Roddick's tie-break run is coming to an end here it seems.

1823: Roddick pulls it back to 2-3, forcing a volley error from his opponent.

1821: First mini-break goes to Gasquet at 2-1. Meanwhile, Henin comes through that game to level at 5-5. A bit close for comfort that though.

1820: An ace takes the third set into a tie-break. Bad news for Gasquet. Roddick has won his last 18 breakers.

1819: Roddick is taken to deuce on Court One.

1818: Henin pulls back to 30-30.

1817: Bartoli slaps a forehand down the line for a clean winner. 0-30 and we're two points away from a decider.

1816: Bartoli moves 5-4 in front and any slip-ups from Henin now will take her into a final set. She won't want that with the final looming tomorrow.

1815: A Gasquet pass means he holds for 6-5 and he's at least ensured he will play a tie-break. Safe in that knowledge, he can also have a real go at the Roddick serve now.

1814: Roddick saves the game point and then forces break point. But Gasquet comes to the net to punch away a volley and stand firm.

1813: Henin has just lost her serve again as Bartoli comes up with a fine forehand winner. The Belgian has been pegged back to 4-4 and is struggling to finish off the underdog.

1812: Roddick lines up his feared forehand but Gasquet responds with one his own, using the pace to strike a cross-court winner.

1811: However, the Frenchman is pegged back to 30-30. A chance here for Roddick.

1810: A fine get from Gasquet - he just gets a racquet to a backhand to knock the ball into the open court. He ends in a heap on the turf but it was worth it.

1809: Roddick holds from 30-30 and it's now 5-5 on Court One.

1807: Bartoli back in trouble. A wide lob makes it 15-40 and then another of those big-swing top-spin backhands gives Henin a 4-3 lead. Two serve holds from here and she's home and hosed.

1805: A love service game from Gasquet takes him 5-4 up and puts the heat on Roddick, who has been found wanting for the first time today.

1804: One of Henin's trademark backhands into the corner levels at 3-3 onCentre. It really is some shot that.

1803: Roddick's big serving saves the first but the second ends with a volley wide from the two-time runner-up. Gasquet is back in the set at 4-4.

1802: 15-40 and Gasquet has his first break points of the match.

1801: Gasquet moves to 0-30. He really needs to convert here.

1759: Henin breaks straight back. She did well to come back from 30-0 down and Bartoli will rue missing the chance to establish such a dominant position in the second set. It's now back on serve at 2-3.

1758: Gasquet replies with a rapid love game of his own.

1757: 4-2 Roddick after he ends that service game with a booming ace.

1755: Murray and Jankovic have won their mixed doubles clash 6-3 7-6 against the 14th seeds Knowle and Sun. Another great result for the scratch pairing and they are now into the last eight.

1753: Another chance for Bartoli after a lengthy game. This time Henin goes just wide and from nowhere Bartoli is 3-1 up.

1750: Bartoli dumps a return into the net on break point. There's still a chance this match could swing around. Roddick is now 3-1 up in his match with Gasquet.

1747: Bartoli holds to move ahead in a set for the first time. 2-1.

1743: Gasquet looks done on Court One. He sends a backhand wide on break point to fall an early break behind. He must break serve in this set at some stage to stay alive - but he hasn't even got to break point yet.

1742: A mis-hit forehand from Henin gifts the break back. What were we saying about a mis-match? 1-1.

1741: A great point on Centre. Volleys galore at the net and Bartoli eventually wins the point. Break point.

1739: A typically big serve from Roddick is met by a lazy forehand return into the net from Gasquet on set point and the third seed is too sets to the good. Roddick has been excellent today and after a decent start, Gasuqet is fading.

1737: A massive mis-match on Centre. Henin breaks in the first game of the second set. The Frenchwoman has had a great tournament but the game is up now. Henin is just too classy.

1735: Gasquet holds for 4-5 and forces Roddick to serve out for a two-set lead.

1733: Henin breaks and then serves out the first set she's taken it 6-1 and is breezing towards the final and a date with Venus Williams.

1726: Henin is 4-1 up on Centre and appears to be easing to victory. All a bit predictable I'm afraid.

1724: Roddick breaks with a successful Hawk-eye challenge - his last one in the set after two poor decisions earlier. He now leads by a set and a break at 3-2. A poor game from Gasquet - his level has dropped quite dramatically.

1722: Bartoli is on the board at 3-1 after a hold to 30. Foor those of you who know little about her, she's French and is in the world's top 20 after a good season so far. She made the fourth round at the French Open - the best of the home players - and has already beaten three seeds here, included number three Jelena Jankovic.

1718: Henin moves 3-0 up. One-way traffic on Centre at the moment. Gasquet is hanging in on Court One - 2-2 in the second set.

1715: Oh dear. A signs of things to come perhaps for Bartoli. She's broken to love, Henin working her opponent around the court before picking her openings. 2-0.

1713: A confident start from Henin. She holds easily. Service continues to dominate on Court One. 2-1 Gasquet.

1710: A love game for Roddick. Henin comes out to serve and start the match on Centre. She beat Bartoli for the loss of just four games in Eastbourne last month and is expected to easeto victory again.

1708: Gasquet holds in the opening game of set two. Henin and Bartoli are knocking up.

1703: The stats show how good Roddick has been. He made just three unforced errors in that set and is winning 79 per cent of points when his first serve goes in. He's none to shabby when the second serve is needed - 75 per cent of points are won on that delivery.

1701: Roddick serves out to 15 to clinch the first set 6-4.

1658: The first break of match goes Roddick's way when Gasquet sends a backhand wide. The American leads 5-4 and will serve for the first set.

1657: Williams was a convincing winner again today and now plays the winner of the next match on Centre - Henin v Bartoli. Ivanovic has won many fans with her happy-go-lucky attitude this year. She'll be back, but was second best today.

1655: Ivanovic goes wide with a backhand and Venus Williams is back in the Wimbledon final. It will be her sixth and she's won three already. 6-2 6-4 is the final score.

1654: A brutal forehand drive volley almost hits Ivanovic. She gets a racquet on it but can't get it over the net. Match point.

1653: A superb forehand return lands on the line sending up a puff of chalk or whatever that white stuff is these days. 30-15. Venus then nets and it's back to 30-30.

1652: Williams moves 30-0 up. She's close now.

1650: Another good serve and another backhand return error sees Ivanovic hold for 5-4. Venus will now try to serve it out.

1649: It's 3-3 on Court One where there's some high quality tennis being played.

1648: Ivanovic sends a backhand wide? Third time lucky? No, a mis-hit backhand loops up and drops over the baseline.

1647: A second chance to close out for Williams but it's a repeat of the previous one - a backhand long on the return of serve.

1646: Match point to Venus. But a strong serve forces a backhand long from Williams. Deuce.

1644: A brilliant forehand pass off the back foot gives Williams 15-30 on the Ivanovic serve. Are these the last rites?

1643: Williams finally holds for a 5-3 lead - she is just one game away from the final now. Pressure is on Ivanovic big time.

1642: Good news from a British perspective comes from Court 14. Jamie Murray is back in action, with Jelena Jankovic, and the pair have taken the first set 6-3, against Julian Knowle and Tian Tian Sun in the mixed doubles third round.

1641: Ivanovic saves game point with a brilliant half volley on the stretch which gave Venus no chance.

1640: Back to 30-30 with a huge serve.

1639: Venus struggling at 0-30.

1638: After staving off three break points, Gasquet holds for a 2-1 lead. Roddick has made the better start there, although two stunning backhands from Gasquet show that he's competitive.

1637: Ivanovic cracks again. She gave that game away and it's now 4-3 Williams. She is close to a sixth final in SW19 now.

1635: 3-3 now on Centre. Gasquet again has to save break point on Court One.

1631: Ivanovic produces an excellent lob to clinch a 3-2 lead in the second set. This is much closer now following that one-sided first set.

1630: Gasquet has just come from break point down to hold in the opening game against Roddick.

1628: Nadal is happy with his game at present - and he'll be relishing playing Djokovic tomorrow after the Serb's long match today. "For the conditions, I played a very good match," said Nadal. "I beat one of the best players in the world, especially on this surface. It is a very good victory for me. I have beatenvery good players in Fish, Soderling, Youzhny and Berdych so I am very happy about my Wimbledon right now."

1626: She saved the first break point but another followed and with Ivanovic stepping up the court she slams home a forehand to level it up at 2-2.

1624: A bit hit and miss at the moment from Venus. She goes way long to fall break point down.

1622: Tomas Berdych has blamed the windy conditions for his exit at the hands of Rafa Nadal today. "I don't like these kind of conditions," he's been moaning in his press conference. "It's not good for tennis. It's not for me. I have still a lot to learn about how to play in such windy conditions. My serve is my advantage and today it didn't work because it's impossible in this weather to serve good."

1619: Just as Ivanovic appears to be improving, Williams steps up and gets stuck into her serve. She breaks with ease for a 2-1 lead.

1617: Roddick is out to knock up against Gasquet. They did this yesterday before the rain came. They'll be OK today. If the American wins, all four top seeds will be in the semis for the first time since 1995.

1616: Venus levels at 1-1. Ivanovic is putting up more of a fight now though.

1613: Ivanovic holds from 0-30 to lead 1-0 in the second set against Venus.

1611: Back on Centre they are still in the first game. Next on Court One will be Andy Roddick and Richard Gasquet. They won't be best pleased at having to wait so long. They could play until around 2000 this evening and then have to be back at 1100 tomorrow for the semi.

1610: Another backhand return is into the net from the Cypriot and Djokovic, after almost five hours on court, is into the semi-finals to face Rafael Nadal. 7-6 7-6 6-7 4-6 7-5 is the final score. What a match!

1609: And it's match point as Baghdatis' backhand return is buried into the net.

1608: Baghdatis fails in a Hawk-eye challenge and Djokovic moves 30-15 up as he serves for a place in the last four.

1605: Williams has just clinched the first set against Ivanovic 6-2. It's been easy for her so far.

1605: And there's an awful error from Baghdatis. Straight into the net with a court wide open. 0-40. A superb backhand return follows and a break to love leaves Djokovic serving for the match.

1604: Djokovic cracks a forehand away for 0-30. Here's his chance.

1603: No problems for Djokovic as he holds for 5-5.

1602: News from the referee's office and it's not surprising. Henin v Bartoli - the second women's semi - has been switched from Court One to Centre. It will now take place after the Williams-Ivanovic clash.

1558: Ivanovic misses a relatively simple pass as she allows Williams to hold for a 5-1 lead. Meanwhile, Baghdatis stands firm after being taken to deuce and he now leads 5-4. This is where serving first becomes such an advantage. Any slips now from Djokovic on serve and this match is over.

1557: There are a few errors creeping into Williams' game now. However, she recovers from 0-30 to 30-30.

1555: A love hold from Djokovic as he gives Baghdatis little chance. 4-4 and we're into the nitty gritty of this epic now. They started at 1100 remember!

1553: Two big serves in a row turn it back Ivanovic's way and she gets on the scoreboard at 4-1 down. Still plenty of work to do though as she remains a double break down.

1552: A long game on Centre has just moved to break point Williams once more.

1551: Convincing hold for Baghdatis as he moves 4-3 ahead. He's the one holding serve more easily. Can he step it up now aand earn the first break in thisset? It would surely be the end if he did.

1549: A superb cross-court winner is Ivanovic's best shot of the day and rescues the situation.

1548: Ivanovic claws her way back to deuce but a double fault hands Venus another chance for a 5-0 lead.

1547: More break points against Ivanovic. 0-40. She had a nightmare in the French Open final, winning just three games. She's not playign as badly here, but the scoreline could be just the same.

1545: Williams manages to hold.

1544: Ivanovic gets a chance to get back in the set. Two break points are saved by Venus though, the second with a towering smash.

1542: A love hold - convincing stuff from Baghdatis.

1540: Djokovic manages to hold for 2-2. But Baghdatis does look the fresher player at the moment.

1539: Williams now moves 3-0 up as Ivanovic pulls a shot well wide. This could be embarrassingly one-sided I'm afraid. This is only the second time the Serb has played on Centre - three-time winner Venus has just a little more experience on the court...

1538: Djokovic looks a little battle weary - no great surprise after thhe amount of tennis he's played in the last two days. The figure is approaching nine hours.

1536: Baghdatis has just moved 2-1 ahead in the decider. He's only once come from two sets down to win a match, but his five-set record is better than his opponent's - 7-2 compared with 5-3.

1535: Williams has started impressively. There's a love service hold for 2-0.

1532: An ideal start for Williams. She breaks the Ivanovic serve in the opening game. Let's hope this isn't the one-sided clash that it could be.

1529: Baghdatis holds for 1-0. Djokovic doesn't look too bad. He had plenty of treatment on his lower back, as was the case yesterday. Perhaps that's loosened him up again.

1527: They are back under way on Court One. Baghdatis has the advantage of serving first in the decider.

1525: Venus Williams and Ana Ivanovic are out and knocking up ahead of the first ladies' singles semi-final. Williams has won both their previous meetings and starts a hot favourite following her impressive wins over Maria Sharapova and Svetlana Kuznetsova in the last two rounds.

1519: The trainer has been called ahead of the fifth set - it's for Djokovic. Baghdatis takes the chance to head to the toilet.

1518: Incredible. A lucky net cord on the set point goes Baghdatis' way. The ball just flicks off the tape going crosscourt and falls almost dead. It's two sets all.

1517: Djokovic goes into the tape and it's set point to Baghdatis.

1516: The Serb gets it back to 30-30 but he looks fatigued. A fifth set is not what he needs right now.

1515: Djokovic falls 0-30 down. Big points now.

1513: Match point to Federer on Centre on the Ferrero serve. And sure enough he takes it, sealing a 7-6 3-6 6-1 6-3 victory with a fine cross-court winner. A good effort from the Spaniard but Federer is into the semi-finals once again.

1511: Baghdatis holds and leads 5-4. Pressure back on Novak. With this match having gone on so long, there must now be a danger of the ladies' semi between Justine Henin and Marion Bartoli being either moved or put back. That match is due last on Court One - and we've still got Roddick and Gasquet to come before that.

1508: Djokovic goes wide and this match goes on and on. Exactly four hours gone now. 4-4.

1507: Djokovic slips for the umpteenth time to fall break point down. He really needs different shoes - it was a similar tale yesterday.

1505: Federer has moved along to 4-3 on Centre.

1502: Baghdatis goes long with a forehand and he falls 4-3 behind. Djokovic is now just two games away from the semi-finals. The Cypriot is in deep trouble now. Do or die time for him.

1501: And when Baghdatis finds the bottom of the net, it's the first break point of the set.

1500: It's very close on Court One. Neither player seems that bothered by those earlier injury problems now. Here's a chance for Djokovic though - he's at deuce on the Baghdatis serve.

1455: Finally Federer holds for 3-1 as Ferrero just misses with a backhand down the line.

1454: Federer is back at deuce and is really struggling to convert that break of Ferrero's serve.

1452: Umpire Alison Lang makes a mess of things on Court One, overruling when Hawk-eye later shows the ball was in. Oh dear. Despite the error, Baghdatis manages to hold for a 3-2 lead.

1451: Federer has ato save a break point at 2-1 in the fourth set but does.

1449: Djokovic produces another solid serve game, holding to love for 2-2.

1447: Federer breaks for a 2-1 lead. It looks as if this will be over soon and the ladies' semis can begin.

1446: Another forehand winner from Baghdatis earns him a 2-1 lead. That shot is firing again now after it let him down badly in the second-set tie-break.

1445: Another break chance for Novak. But a great forehand get from Baghdatis turns the point around. Back to deuce.

1444: A few points later and Baghdatis goes just wide. However, he saves break point with a deep forehand which again draws an error from the Serb.

1442: A brilliant cross-court forehand brings Djokovic to deuce on the Baghdatis serve.

1440: Federer takes the third set 6-1. The lesson for Ferrero? Don't rile the great man by taking a set off him! that set went by in a blink of an eye.

1439: Djokovic begins with a love service hold which should restore some of his confidence. He really need to dig deep into those stamina reserves now - if there are any left.

1438: Federer breaks again for 5-1.

1436: Baghdatis holds to 30 in the opening game of the fourth set.

1433: Over on Centre, Federer seems to have bucked his ideas up and has broken in the fourth game. It's now 4-1 in his favour.

1432: A first serve in and a return into the net brings Baghdatis back into the match. The third set is his and Djokovic's lead is cut to two sets to one. This match has already been going three hours and 22 minutes - and that after the four hours plus that Djokovic played yesterday. There are signs he's started to feel that in his legs.

1431: Djokovic saves two on his own serve. Now comes the hard part...

1430: 6-1 and it's five more set points for the Cypriot.

1429: Great drop shot from the Bag man leaves Djokovic stranded. 5-1 at the change of ends.

1428: A wide forehand from Djokovic makes it 4-1 Baghdatis. Surely he won't squander such a great position again?

1426: The first mini-break goes to Baghdatis, a drop shot forcing an error from Djokovic who goes long. 3-1.

1425: Baghdatis moves 2-1 up - still on serve in the breaker.

1424: Baghdatis holds to 15 and it's a third consecutive tie-break in the match. Remember Djokovic has an impressive record in these and has already won two today.

1422: Baghdatis steps up to serve to stay in the match. He trails 5-6 in the third set over on Court One.

1421: A big serve from the Spaniard can only be returned beyond the baseline by Federer. Ferrero levels the match at one set all! That's the firstset Federer has dropped in this year's tournament and as a reuslt plenty of bets will have gone down. Many will have backed him to win without dropping a set - as he did at this year's Australian Open.

1420: A forehand from Ferrero just falls inside the baseline and pulls the error from Federer's racquet - another set point.

1419: A deep backhand forces the error from Ferrero and Federer brings it back to deuce. You can rarely accuse Federer of not playing the big points well.

1418: A Federer return is into the net and it's set point!

1417: Over on Centre, Ferrero has broken and is now serving for the set at 5-3.

1416: Another easy miss from Baghdatis, who can't seem to put his man away. Advantage Djokovic. And a double fault follows. It's back to 5-5. You feel that could well be his chance gone. Baghdatis just hasn't played the big points well today.

1415: Now it's break-back point. However, Baghdatis saves with a fine off-forehand winner.

1414: A drop shot from Baghdatis brings Djokovic to the net but he replies with one of his own to leave the Cypriot stranded in the back court. Deuce.

1413: Baghdatis moves to set point again as Djokovic goes long.

1412: Federer saves a break point at 3-4 against Ferrero.

1410: Djokovic holds and makes it 5-4, halting that run of five games against him. However, Baghdatis will now serve to reduce the deficit two sets to one.

1409: The Serb stands firm with a good one-two play. A solid serve then deep forehand prove too good.

1408: Djokovic gets back to 30-30, but a forehand into the net makes it set point.

1407: Djokovic isn't moving great. Two winners make it 0-30.

1406: Baghdatis holds for 5-3. Can Djokovic halt this streak now? He needs to, badly.

1405: Now 3-3 on Centre. Federer will pounce in a minute you suspect.

1402: A sensational return game from Baghdatis. He breaks courtesy of some fine winners and has now won four straight games. My, my. Is this match really going to turnaround?

1400: We've moved on to 2-2 on Centre between Federer and Ferrero.

1359: Baghdatis makes it three games in a row and he's back to 3-3.

1354: Against the odds Baghdatis breaks back and his fans are on their feet. He's got the trainer out again to work on his shoulder but he may be boosted by the fact that Djokovic has been holding the back of his legs. Rememeber the Serb needed plenty of treatment yesterday. If Baghdatis can take this further, it could get interesting.

1351: Baghdatis gets on the board in the third set as Ferrero holds in the opening game of set two on Centre.

1348: Djokovic holds for 3-0 and Baghdatis still seems troubled by his shoulder. Djokovic has few worries at two sets up. He tucks into a banana at the change over.

1347: He needs only one. An ace down the T gives him the first set on a tie-break by seven points to two.

1346: A wild forehand into the tramlines hands Federer four set points.

1345: Another long forehand from Ferrero and it's 5-1 at the change of ends. This is more like it from the champion after that sloppy spell yesterday afternoon.

1344: Federer gains the early mini-break and races into a 4-1 lead.

1342: Djokovic rams home his advantage with the break and at two sets and 2-0 to the good he's closing in on the semis and a meeting with Rafael Nadal.

1341: The first is saved but another soon follows as Djokovic threatens to take total control against Baghdatis.

1340: Ferrero forces the set into a tie-break.Meanwhile, it's break point Djokovic.

1339: A searing backhand winner from a second serve gives Federer set point. But Federer's following return is just long. Deuce.

1338: A great baseline exchange is won by Ferrero after 27 strokes. He eventually draws the error from Federer to pull back to 30-30. That was like a claycourt rally - and that's Ferrero's domain.

1335: Federer manages to hold from that awkward deuce position. It's now 6-5. Djokovic opens a 1-0 lead in the third against Baghdatis.

1333: Baghdatis comes out after treatment to receive.

1329: Roger Federer and Juan Carlos Ferrero are out on Centre to knock up. Remember their quarter-final is level at 5-5, 40-40 with Federer serving. A good start will be vital for the top seed.

1328: Baghdatis has called for the trainer. He's pointing to his shoulder. It's a massive task from here for the Cypriot. He's got to put those six set points he missed out of his mind. Easier said than done though. He'll know this match should be all square.

1326: Time to update you on that doubles match involving Jamie Murray. It's all over I'm afraid. Murray and Butorac lost the fourth set 6-2 to bow out at the third-round stage to Dlouhy and Vizner.

1325: An ace from Baghdatis is overruled by Hawk-eye. It's crucial as Baghdatis sprays a forehand way out of court. 11-9 he wins the breaker and it's two set to love to the Serb.

1324: Baghdatis pushes a shot long and Djokovic has his first set point.

1323: It's now 9-9 as they change ends again. Baghdatis goes long on that set point. Six have now come and gone.

1322: Baghdatis makes a nerveless drop shot to make it 9-8. Djokovic slips to the turf as he tries to chase it down. A sixth set point!

1321: Djokovic goes long and it's a fifth set point to Baghdatis - on his own serve. However, another forehand into the net makes it 8-8.

1320: All over on Centre. Nadal wraps up a straight-sets win over Berdych - 7-6 6-4 6-2.

1319: Another forehand into the net from the Cypriot. It's now 7-7. Real tension on Court One.

1318: Another set point after Djokovic fails to get the next serve back.

1317: Baghdatis dumps a forehand into the net. And it's back to 6-6.

1316: Baghdatis nets a return and it's 6-5. His serve to come though.

1315: Berdych has at least made Nadal serve it out. 5-2 on Centre. Djokovic make it 6-4.

1314: Awesome depth on Baghdatis' shots at the moment. He makes it 6-3 and it's three set points.

1313: Djokovic dominates the early stages of the eighth point but a fine deep forehand gets him back in it and a volley winner makes it 5-3.

1312: Baghdatis misses a good chance on a weak second serve. 4-3 up with two serves to come.

1310: A great point from Baghdatis ends with a superb backhand winner into the corner. He leads 4-2 at the change of ends.

1309: Now 5-1 Nadal. A semi-final place is tantalisingly close.

1308: Two holds for Baghdatis. 3-2.

1307: No breaks yet - 2-1 Djokovic.

1306: Djokovic has won 18 of 24 tie-breaks this season. Some record.

1305: Djokovic holds and sure enough it's another tie-break. Meanwhile, Nadal breaks again for 4-1 and is cruising to victory.

1303: Djokovic-Baghdatis is certainly tighhter than Nadal-Berdych. Nadal has just held for 3-1 in the third set. We'll focus on Court One for the time being.

1302: Djokovic slams his racquet into the turf and breaks the frame as he fails to get a return in on the following point. A warning follows fromthe umpire. The Serb is frustrated aggain when he nets on the next point. 6-5 to the Bag man.

1301: A really deep second serve from Baghdatis hits the line and a surprised Djokovic mis-hits the return. Deuce.

1300: Djokovic gives Baghdatis the run around after a fine drop shot on the next point to earn another break opportunity.

1259: Of course, as soon as I write that Djokovic moves to 30-40 on the Baghdatis serve. The Cypriot plays the point beautifully though, ending it with a crisp volley.

1257: Djokovic levels up at 5-5. Few signs of a break of serve over on Court One at the moment. Another breaker beckons.

1256: Berdych nets tamely and it's two break points already. A wild volley from the Czech follows and Nadal is in total command.

1255: Berydch lost the opening game on serve in the second set and he's in trouble again at the start of the third at 15-30.

1254: Pierce Brosnan is in the Royal Box today. Slightly better than yesterday's guests. Lawrie McMenemy is about the only one we spotted then!

1252: Baghdatis moves 5-4 up and the pressure is firmly on Djokovic as he steps up to serve.

1250: A big forehand takes Nadal to two set points at 40-15. Berdych nets a backhand and Nadal has a two-set lead. 6-4 he wins the second set and you can't see Berdych recovering from this position.

1249: A love hold for Djokovic makes it 4-4 and he and Baghdatis are now getting to the business end of things in the second set.

1248: Murray and Butorac have given themselves hope. They've just taken the third set 6-3. Is that the start of a famous comeback? Remember they lost the first two sets to ninth seeds Dlouhy and Vizner.

1247: Nadal goes long and Berdych pulls back to 5-4. However, with the balls in his hand Nadal will now serve for the set annd will be confident of doing so.

1246: No problems for Baghdatis as he holds easily to move 4-3 ahead.

1245: Berdych comes forward to punish a short ball from Nadal to save the first. And the second also disappears courtesy of a clean backhand winner.

1244: Another brilliant volley from Nadal takes him to 15-40 and two set points.

1243: A comfortable hold for Djokovic for 3-3. Little to separate those two on Court One at present. Apart, obviously from the fact that Djokovic took the first set!

1241: Nadal holds from a nervy 30-30 position and Berdych must now win two games in a row if he is to stay in the set. 3-5.

1239: Djokovic misses break point and Baghdatis wins three straight points to hold for a 3-2 lead.

1238: Berdych's first serve really is difficult to return when it goes in. He's moved the percenage up to 60 per cent now which is good news for him. Another 'biggie' makes it 4-3. The problem for Berdych is he's already a break down in this set.

1236: Bright sun is not bathing the All Englnad Club. Those spots of rain soon moved on.

1234: Nadal continues in control of his match on Centre. He's a set and 4-2 to the good and remains on course for the semi-finals. The winner here will play the winner of Djokovic-Baghdatis.

1233: Djokovic manages to hold from that position. 2-2 now.

1231: Three aces in a row from Djokovic but Baghdatis still manages to force deuce.

1230: Baghdatis holds after another tough examination. 2-1 he leads.

1229: Berdych manages to hold after losing that first point. 3-2 Nadal.

1227: A stunning forehand winner down the line on the run from Nadal has the Centre Court crowd gasping.

1226: A love hold from Nadal is completedwith a confident volley at the net. He really has improved his all-round game over the past year or so. He leads 3-1 in the second set.

1224: Djokovic levels up at 1-1. He's not playing his best but is fighting well to fend off the Cypriot at present.

1223: Big trouble for Butorac and Murray - or Stretch and Booty as they are nicknamed. They are two sets down now after losing the second set 6-3 to Dlouhy and Vizner.

1220: Another ace from Berdych makes it 2-1 on Centre but Nadal still has that advanatge of a break of serve. He looks well set at present.

1218: Baghdatis fends off a break point in the opening game of his second set to hold.

1215: Nadal breaks in the opening game of the second set to take full control. He's buzzing now.

1211: Berdych nets to end his tie-break with Nadal. The Spaniard dominated it, winning by seven points to one.

1210: Djokovic holds his nerve and takes the breaker 7-5. He's a set to the good and will be wanting to win in straight sets after that marathon match yesterday.

1209: Now 5-0 Nadal. Baghdatis saves two set points but there's still one more to come - on Djokovic's serve.

1208: Baghdatis takes a tumble as he falls 5-3 down. It's soon 6-3 and three set points to Djokovic.

1207: Nadal takes control - 3-0.

1206: Djokovic edges in front 4-2 at the change of ends.

1205: Four straight points for Berdych and he's into a tie-break.

1204: Djokovic gets it back to 2-2. Really tight stuff at the moment on Court One.

1203: Oh dear. Rain is spitting. Baghdatis has an early mini-break, 2-0.

1202: Nadal moves to 0-30, but more bigs serves from Berdych pulls it back to 30-30.

1201: Baghdatis holds to 15 and takes the set into a tie-break.

1200: Similiar story on Centre - Nadal lead 6-5. Pressure on Berdych.

1159: Djokovic moves 6-5 up and forces Baghdatis to hold serve to take the opening set into a tie-break.

1158: Berdych levels at 5-5.

1156: Doubles news from Court Two where Briton Jamie Murray is in action. He and Eric Butorac have lost the first set to ninth seeds Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner on a tie-break. That's a last-16 encounter.

1154: Baghdatis levels at 5-5 after saving those set points. Three games in a row for the 10th seed.

1153: A ball boy pulls up lame on Court One! Baghdatis ushers him off. Nadal produces a love service game to go 5-4 up.

1152: The first is saved and then Djokovic goes just long after a volley net excahnge.

1151: A sloppy game from Baghdatis and he's down 15-40. Two set points.

1150: Big serving from Berdych helps him hold to 15. 4-4. When he gets his first serve in he's a tough proposition.

1148: Three break points to Baghdatis! And a double fault from Djokoivc gets the Cypriot back in the set, much to the delight of his army of noisy fans who burst into song.

1146: Nadal again digs deep to hold for a 4-3 lead. He's not having things all his own way though.

1144: 5-3 on Court One. Djokovic to serve for the set.

1143: But Berdych makes a hash of a delicate forehand as he comes to the forecourt. It hardly makes it halfway up the net.

1142: Nadal hits a forehand against the tape to hand Berdych a break point.

1140: A lucky net cord is followed by Baghdatis netting and Djokovic manages to hold for 5-2.

1139: Another break point forthe Cypriot but he goes long. Meanwhile, Berdych produces the first love game of the match on Centre. 3-3.

1137: Nadal holdsfor 3-2. Baghdatis earns his first break point but goes wide as Djokovic pulls back to deuce.

1135: Not much rhythm to Nadal-Berdych at the moment. Too many errors. Berydch is a big hitter but needs to be more consistent.

1133: Baghdatis secures a much-needed hold to cut the deficit to 4-2. On Centre, Berdych holds for 2-2 but both men are struggling to hold their serve in these early stages.

1132: Break point Djokovic again. Saved by Baghdatis.

1129: Berdych is getting into Nadal's serve once more. 15-40. Nadal successfully challenges to confirm a clean winner but the second sees Berdych pounce. He gets the set back on serve at 1-2.

1128: A poor spell this from Baghdatis. He loses that game to love and is 4-1 down with plenty of work to do.

1126: Baghdatis in trouble on Court One as he falls 0-40 down. One is saved but a wide backhand from the Cypriot produces the first break. 3-1 Djokovic.

1125: Another big serve saves one but a long forehand then sees Nadal break for a 2-0 lead.

1124: Berdych serves an ace at 0-30 but is soon two break points down.

1123: Djokovic holds for 2-1 against Baghdatis. The Serb isn't moving particularly great - he had a back problem treated during yesterday's match.

1122: Again it's a very disappointing crowd on Centre. Less than half full for this men's quarter-final.

1120: A cheeky drop shot sees Nadal hold after a lengthy opening game.

1119: Another chance for Berdych after Nadal scuffs a forehand on his baseline. It's saved in fine style with an ace.

1118: A wide backhand from Berdych takes the score back to deuce.

1117: Nadal is also struggling in his opening service game. The conditions are very windy on the roofless Centre Court and he produces an early double fault. It's soon break point...

1115: Djokovic was awesome on serve at the start of yesterday's match with Lleyton Hewitt, but he is taken to deuce in his first game today but holds with a fine crosscourt winner.

1113: In true Nadal fashion, he's last out and finally ready to start against Berdych, playing his first Grand Slam quarter-final. Will he be nervous? We're about to find out. Nadal to serve.

1110: We're off and running on Court One - Djokovic to serve.

1100: Players are out and ready to start their warm-up.

1045: Today's ladies' semi-finals are the last matches scheduled on the show courts. They see title favourite Justine Henin take on surprise package Marion Bartoli on Court One, and Venus Williams play Ana Ivanovic on Centre. Henin and Williams start as heavy favourites and that is summed up by the head-to-head records. Henin leads Bartoli 2-0 and has yet to drop a set against her. The pair met recently in Eastbourne on the grass, with the Belgian a 6-1 6-3 victor. It would be no surprise to see her win that easily again. Williams is also 2-0 up on Ivanovic, both meetings having been won in straight sets. They last met in Luxembourg at the end of last season but have yet to play on grass.

1040: Those two matches are followed by the top-half quarter-finals, one of which started yesterday. Roger Federer seemed a little rusty against Juann Carlos Ferrero and failed to serve out the first set yesterday afternoon. It was 5-5 and deuce on Federer's serve when rain halted play for the day. Also still to play are Andy Roddick and Richard Gasquet. They only got as far as the warm-up yesterday. Roddick leads their head-to-head record 2-0 but they have yet to meet on grass.

1030: It's hoped we can start on time (1100) with better weather forecast. Some are evenpredicting it could be the first rain-free day since last Tuesday! Let's hope so as a busy day is planned with the four men's quarters and two ladies' semis to play in the singles. First up are the quarter-finals in the bottom half of the men's draw and two close matches look to be in prospect. Rafael Nadal returns for the fifth day in a row to play Tomas Berdych. Nadal played five sets yesterday to Berdych's four so that could be a factor. Berdych also has a good record against the Spaniard, leading 3-2 with both of Nadal's wins having come on the slow clay. The surface closest to the grass they've played on is the indoor hardcourt in Madrid last year - Berdych winning in straight sets. Novak Djokovic takes on Marcos Baghdatis and again the amount of tennis in the players' legs will be a consideration when picking a winner. Djokovic played for more than four hours yesterday - as well as two sets on Wednesday - while Baghdatis played two hours less.
