It was all-too-familiar sight on the opening day of Wimbledon 2006, with rain interrupting the action throughout the day.
The scheduled start was put back from 1200 BST to 1300, at which point play began at the All England Club.
Defending champion Roger Federer took the first set against Nottingham winner Richard Gasquet, while Martina Hingis - playing her first Wimbledon in five years - also led by a set against Olga Savchuk when the rain returned.
The weather didn't improve all afternoon, and at 1921 BST play was officially abandoned for the day.
The decision means that Tim Henman's intriguing first-round clash with Sweden's Robin Soderling will now take place on Tuesday.
