Surprised everyone by rousing herself to win the title for a third time here last year. Hasn't won a tournament since and it's hard to know what to expect from Venus. However, if there's one place she's likely to produce it's here. Only once in the last six years has she failed to reach the final. Given she played some good stuff in Paris before bowing out in the last eight, she looks a decent price to retain her crown. Will need her often unreliable forehand to hold up though.
