Back at Wimbledon for the first time in five years following her aborted retirement, Hingis will be the centre of attention this year. Still only 25, she will dream of reclaiming the title she won as a 16-year-old in 1997. Has played remarkably well since her return to the tour at the start of the season and has reached the quarter-finals in each of her Grand Slam tournaments so far. Also won in Rome. Is sure to use her tactical game to out-think opponents, too many of whom are one-dimensional these days. A lack of power may hurt her though at the business end of the tournament and the fairytale return may not run its course.
