After a breakthrough year in 2005, this rising star picked up her first WTA Tour title in Acapulco (on clay) earlier this season and then climbed to a career-high ranking position of 14th thanks to a win run of form across the spring. Made the quarter-finals at Roland Garros (her best Grand Slam result) to boost confidence further, but has yet to win a match at Wimbledon. Two wins at Eastbourne in the build up suggest she should break that duck this time around.
