The success story of last season, Clijsters put injury woes behind her and finally won her first Grand Slam title - the US Open - as she surged back up the rankings. The popular Belgian hasn't made the same impression on grass, although she did win at Eastbourne last season. Her big-match temperament remains under some question too, as was the case here in 2003 when she looked primed to beat Venus Williams but didn't. She disappointed in the recent French Open semi-finals and has often failed to produce at the business end of the major events. Will challenge, but there look more likely winners.
