A Davis Cup hero for Croatia in December, Ancic turned a few heads on clay this year and his run to the quarter-finals of the French Open has set him up nicely for the grasscourt season he relishes. Ancic was the last player to beat Roger Federer on the surface (back in 2002) and made the semis here two years ago. With his form good, many will fancy his chances of going deep into the tournament once more.
