| A highly-unexpected run to the final of the French Open recently sees Pierce knocking on the door of the top 10 again. It came more than 10 years after her maiden Grand Slam success in Australia when she became one of the stars of the women's game. Now 30, Pierce may be in the twilight of her career, but she proved she is capable of beating the best in Paris, before a disappointing dsplay in the final which saw her comprehensively beaten by Justine Henin-Hardenne. Has done well at Wimbledon in the past and with confidence up, she should make the second week at least. |
