| Few players hit the ball harder than Kuznetsova and that skill helped carry her to US Open glory last summer. Whether she can replicate such performances on grass remains to be seen. Victory at Eastbourne last year suggested she could, but the Russian duly lost in the first round when she arrived at the All England Club. Looked good in Paris recently where she held two match points against eventual champion Justine Henin-Hardenne before losing. If she finds the groove, she will be a contender. |
