Weybridge 18-year-old Andrew Kennaugh failed in his bid to become the first Briton in 10 years to claim the boys' doubles title at Wimbledon on Sunday.

Kennaugh and his Australian partner Sam Groth were well beaten 6-4 6-1 by powerful American pair Jesse Levine and Michael Shabaz on Court Two.

The unseeded Kennaugh and Groth were hampered by the fact that they had already been involved in a marathon semi-final earlier in the day.

The pair had eventually overcome Dutch sixth seeds Thiemo De Bakker and Antal Van Der Dium 6-3 3-6 15-13.
