| One of the world's best doubles players, Sugiyama has also been impressing on a singles court over the past year. Won the Gold Coast event back in January to add to her title collection, a victory which helped to her to a career-high of eighth in the WTA rankings. Still, she has yet to make a serious impact in a singles Grand Slam tournament. Hard to see that changing here. |
