The 29-year-old hit a career-high ranking at the end of the 2001 season - a year which saw her win her first tour title in Strasbourg and produce a best-ever Grand Slam performance, reaching the last 16 here in Paris.

She has since upped that best ranking to 11.

Has enjoyed a solid year so far. Defended her title in Strasbourg and also looked good on America's hardcourts before reaching the fourth round at Roland Garros.

Does not have a good record at Wimbledon, but high confidence levels could help her progress.
