Verdict: Raymond is officially the world's top doubles player, a fact which reflects her good volleying skills which are required here at Wimbledon.
She has already won a host of doubles titles this year and has a total of five Grand Slam doubles titles to her name, including last year's women's crowns at Wimbledon and the US Open.
She is also no mean singles player either as she showed went winning in Memphis in February.
One of the best serve-volleyers in the women's game, her best Grand Slam showings have come at Wimbledon - she was a quarter-finalist two years ago and last year pushed eventual runner-up Justine Henin hard in round three.
Has to be rated a potential dark horse. Certainly not a player the top seeds will want in their section of the draw.
