Date of Birth: 01.01.82
Became pro: 1995
World ranking: 32 |
Verdict: The Argentine burst on to the scene at last year's US Open and has not looked back since.
Beat Nicolas Escude at Flushing Meadows before losing to Yevgeny Kafelnikov in four sets.
Has now climbed into top 32 after winning on clay in Estoril when he beat both Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Moya.
Has struggled against the sport's big names since, losing to Lleyton Hewitt and Marat Safin among others, but still looks one for the future.
This will be his debut at Wimbledon and as Nalbandian is a player who prefers the slower courts, don't expect him to go far.
