(20) TOMMY ROBREDO (SPA)

Date of Birth: 01.05.82
Became pro: 1998
World ranking: 30 |
Verdict: Spaniard Robredo was one of the rising stars of last season when he finished 30th in the Champions Race - an improvement of 199 places on the previous year.
The teenager also won his first ATP title in 2001 - on his favoured clay in Sopot, Poland.
Made a big breakthrough on hardcourts at the US Open where he beat former runner-up Todd Martin and fifth seed Juan Carlos Ferrero before losing to Andy Roddick.
Struggled at the start of this season, but got back to form with the arrival of the clay season.
But with limited grass experience, an early exit looks on the cards for this baseliner.
