(25) FABRICE SANTORO (FRA)
|
|
 |
Date of Birth: 09.12.72
Became pro: 1989
World ranking: 37 |
Verdict: Santoro was a consistent performer on the tour during 2001, reaching numerous quarter-finals.
However, the fact that he failed to push on to the final of any tournament shows he cannot quite compete at the highest level.
A fine doubles exponent, Santoro has still been a key member of the French Davis Cup team which lifted the trophy in 2001 and is into the last four of this year's competition.
His doubles skills show he can volley but his best display here is the third round which he made last year.
Don't expect much more this time from a man short on wins over the past few months.
