Date of Birth: 06.09.74
Became pro: 1993
World ranking: 5 |
Verdict: Britain's number one is back on home soil - and the lush turf he loves so much.
Has to be considered a major contender once again having three times reached the last four in SW19.
Last year he looked well on course to reach the final before rain halted his clash with eventual champion Goran Ivanisevic with Henman two sets to one up and with the Croat on the rack.
Since last year, Henman has switched coaches and Larry Stefanki has helped make his serve more consistent and more accurate - a factor which could prove decisive here.
Has enjoyed a good season so far, but his 2002 form will bear little relevance to his natural grasscourt game.
One of the best serve-volleyers in the game, Henman still reached the Queen's final despite being below his best. He is a serious title threat.
