Unsurprisingly at almost seven feet tall, Karlovic's greatest asset is his powerful serve which has served him well on all surfaces, emphasised by the fact he was the only man apart from Roger Federer to win titles on three surfaces in 2007. The Croatian reached the third round of the Australian Open and the beginning of 2008 but failed to get past the first hurdle at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. However, a surprise win over Roger Federer at the Cincinnati Masters where he reached the semi-finals will give him hope he can get past the third round here for the first time.
