Solid performer Davydenko has reached the semi-finals here in the last two years, losing to eventual winner Roger Federer both times. The Russian reached the last 16 in Australia but comes into this tournament on the back of first round exit at Wimbledon. Despite those good performances here in the last two years, it's hard to see Davydenko pushing on and emerging as a serious threat to the top three this time around.
