VERDICT

It's now 10 years since Hingis' golden season which saw her win three of the four Grand Slam titles. However, since returning to the tour following her three-year 'retirement' she has yet to go beyond the quarter-finals of a major. Has some of the finest court-craft skills around but is still hampered by a lack of power, particularly on her second serve. Doesn't seem to have recovered from a hip injury picked up during the claycourt season and wins have been thin on the ground of late. That form suggests she'll struggle to survive the first week.
