VERDICT

Much had been expected of this young Frenchman since his tour debut in 2002, but it's only in the past two years that he's managed to start picking up the results many had predicted. Has consistently featured in the latter rounds of tournaments this season and at Wimbledon showed just how good he can be by eliminating Andy Roddick en route to the last four. A sublime backhand is a real weapon but has struggled to adapt to thhe hardcourts so far this summer. Will need to get his act together soon to contend here.
