World number two Ana Ivanovic will compete in the International Women's Open at Eastbourne's Devonshire Park from June 14-21.
Ivanovic, 20, who reached the Wimbledon semi-finals last year, said: "Eastbourne is great preparation for Wimbledon.
"There's a very strong field this year including former Wimbledon champions Amelie Mauresmo and Lindsay Davenport, so there will be lots of tough matches. I really enjoy playing on grass having reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon last year.''
Meanwhile, Ivo Karlovic has announced he will defend his title at the Nottingham Open during the same week.
