Andy Murray has been voted the Lawn Tennis Association's male player of the year.
Murray, by some distance Britain's number one player, was chosen following a three-week public vote.
Despite an injury-hit campaign, Murray came within a whisker of qualifying for the season-ending Masters Cup.
He won the ATP tournaments in San Jose and St Petersburg and finished the year ranked 11th in the world.
Among others, he saw off Tim Henman who had a disappointing season but went out on a high, retiring after helping Team GB reach the Davis Cup World Group with a victory over Croatia.
Katie O'Brien was chosen as female player of the year after ending the season as British number one.
She is currently the world's 125th ranked player - four places below the career-high she reached during the summer.
O'Brien said: "I'm really surprised to win the award. 2007 was a good year but the great thing is that I know I can achieve more in 2008 so can't wait for the season to start."
Peter Norfolk was named disabled player of the year, while the senior Davis Cup squad was named as the top team of 2007.
Dan Cox and Anna Fitzpatrick took the junior prizes.
The awards will be presented by LTA chief executive Roger Draper at the National Tennis Centre iin Roehampton on December 18.
