WIth Serbia having choice of venue and court, they have opted to lay a RuKortHard Tournament MF surface in the Belgrade Arena for the tie.
The surface is rated medium-fast by the International Tennis Federation - category four in their numerical scale with one being the slowest and five being the fastest.
The Belgrade Arena was also the venue for Serbia's recent semi-final win over Canada in which they won both singles matches on the final day to claim a 3-2 victory.
However, on that occasion a claycourt was chosen in a bid to combat Canada's big servers.
With Tomas Berdych, another big server, expected in the Czech line-up, it remains to be seen whether the faster surface will work in the hosts' favour.
World number one Novak Djokovic is expected to lead Serbia's bid to claim the trophy for the second time in the November 15-17 tie.
The Serbs first won the Davis Cup in 2010.
