Kirilenko through to semis
Last year's beaten finalist Maria Kirilenko remained on track to go one better this time at the Pattaya Open with a straight-sets victory over Elena Vesnina in the quarter-finals.

The Russian second seed, who lost to Daniela Hantuchova 12 months ago, was given a tough ride by in-form Vesnina in the first set in particular but came through 7-6 (8/6) 6-3.
In the last four, Kirilenko will play fourth seed Sorana Cirstea after the Romanian ended the run of qualifier Anastasija Sevastova with a dominant 6-3 6-0 victory.
The other semi-final will pit fifth seed Sabine Lisicki against unseeded Russian Nina Bratchikova. Lisicki had to come from a set down to defeat New Zealand's Marina Erakovic 5-7 6-3 6-2, while Bratchikova saw off Japan's Ayumi Morita 6-1 3-6 6-1.
