Venus Williams (+5.5) to beat Maria Sharapova on the game handicap at 8/11
Sharapova may have gained the headlines with her back-to-back double bagels, but Williams is currently on a fine run of her own - two comfortable wins in Melbourne mean she has now won her last 10 matches. In nine previous meetings, Sharapova has never managed to cover this handicap. Williams is likely to be all over any second serves and that will lead to more pressure on her first delivery, which has been known to break down. With the courts playing fast which will suit the American, take Venus, who has won five of the pair's previous nine meetings, to cover.
