Melinda Czink wins
Second seed Yaroslava Shvedova was dumped out of the first round of the Brasil Tennis Cup as she lost to Hungary's Melinda Czink in three sets.

The Kazakhstani seemed on course for a simple win when she took the dominated the first set, but went on to lose 2-6 6-4 6-2.
Czink, ranked 100th in the world, edged a close second set then raced through the third to put herself into the second round.
Sixth seed Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain also bowed out as she was beaten 5-7 7-6 (9/7) 6-1 by Romania's Monica Niculescu.
She will next face Croatia's Tereza Mrdeza, a 6-0 6-3 winner over Shahar Peer of Israel.
The other seed in action, number four Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa, avoided a similar fate as she battled from behind to beat Venezuela's Adriana Perez 2-6 6-4 6-0.
There were also wins for Spain's Beatriz Garcia Vidagany and Caroline Garcia of France.
