Almagro into last eight
Number one seed Nicolas Almagro eased into the quarter-finals of the German Tennis Championships with a comfortable victory over Nikolay Davydenko.

Almagro, who reached the final last year, came back from a break down in the second set before seeing off the 2009 champion and former world number three 6-4 6-3.
The Spaniard has now reached the last eight for the fourth time in five appearances in Hamburg and will next face sixth seed home hope Philipp Kohlschreiber, who beat Fabio Fognini of Italy 7-5 6-2 in 83 minutes.
World number 14 Juan Monaco came through a tight first set tie-break before knocking out Spain's Daniel Munoz-De La Nava 7-6 (7/4) 6-3.
It will be the Argentinian's first appearance in the Hamburg quarter-finals in seven years and he will next play France's Jeremy Chardy, a 7-5 6-4 victor over German wild card Julian Reister.
