Some may be surprised to see Wawrinka's name in the world's top 10, but his 2008 form explains why. A runner-up in Doha and quarter-finalist in Indian Wells, the Swiss destined to live in Roger Federer's shadow has more recently made his first Masters Series final (in Rome) and reached the last four in Barcelona. That's impressive claycourt form and wins over David Nalbandian, Andy Murray and Juan Carlos Ferrero have not gone unnoticed. A potential dark horse in the field.
