VERDICT

After a poor start to the season, it's no surprise to see Robredo's results have improved upon his return to the claycourts of Europe. With his booming, wound-up forehand, he made the semis in Valencia and quarters in Rome and Barcelona before finding someone a bit too good. That will probably be the case again here. History shows he is likely to lose in the last 16 or eight and that's a confident prediction again in 2008. Off the court, Robredo has posed nude in Cosmopolitan magazine and been named Spain's most stylish man.
