Won two ATP titles at the start of the year but since then inconsistent has been the best way to describe great British hope Murray. A wrist injury forced him to miss this event last year - and arguably prevented him having a truly memorable season - but now he's got no ranking points to defend and a good run here should lift him back into the world's top 10. As is the case with most Britons, clay will never be Murray's favourite surface, so making the second week would be a decent achievement before a proper title assault at Wimbledon.
