VERDICT

Gasquet played here as a 15-year-old back in 2002 but it took until last season for him to establish himself as the force many expected him to be. Made the semi-finals at Wimbledon and qualified for the Masters Cup, but the Frenchman now seems to be paying for those efforts. A poor season so far has seen him fatigued and on the eve of his first-round match here he withdrew with a knee injury.
