VERDICT

The popular Slovakian has made a fine comeback from the days which saw her crying on court at Wimbledon back in 2003. Back then she had been a top-five player but soon that ranking plummeted below 50. Gradually she's worked her way back up and this year's impressive win in Indian Wells has taken her to the brink of a return to the top 10. However, Hantuchova hasn't reached a Grand Slam quarter-final for more than four years and it's hard to see her seriously challenging the big guns here.
