The Chilean was the star performer at the year's first Grand Slam in Melbourne, producing a superb run to the final with victories over some of the game's leading names. He has arguably the best forehand in the game - he'll often run round onto it - and is capable of hitting tremendous winners. Gonzo's game is well suited to the clay and after a few barren months he returned to form on the dirt in Rome recently where he made the final. If he arrives in that mood, he'll be one to watch, but beware - Gonzalez's game can collapse in an instant.
