One of many Spaniards to be brought up on this surface, opponents will always be wary of Ferrer in Paris. He's enjoyed some fine results over the past couple of years, not just on the dirt, and arrives here in good nick. He made the last eight in Monte Carlo and the semis in Barcelona (it took messrs Federer and Nadal respectively to stop him) and so will fancy his chances. Hard to see him challenging the true elite though.
