VERDICT

The underrated Swiss has an excellent record here in recent years, reaching at the least the quarter-finals in each of the last three seasons. With three of her 10 WTA titles having come in Australia, it's clear she enjoys this time of year and may be something of a dark horse in the field. It's hard to see her mixing it with the true elite deep in the second week, but could be worth backing and then laying off as her odds look a little large.
