Enjoyed a superb season in 2006, winning five ATP titles and reaching the final of the season-ending Masters Cup. All five of those wins came on a hardcourt and the amiable American is a player to be reckoned with on the surface where his forehand is a real weapon. Looked good at the warm-up event in Sydney and if he can avoid Federer - a player he has never beaten - Blake is capable of going all the way.
