Swede Thomas Johansson claimed his first win on grass by beating Frenchman
Fabrice Santoro 6-3 6-7 6-2 in the Halle ATP final today.
Claycourt specialist Santoro, who had never progressed beyond the
quarter-finals of a grasscourt event before, could not prevent Johansson from
winning his fifth career title.
"This is my first win on grass and it's good for my confidence," said
Johansson, who will be seeded at Wimbledon.
