Fabrice Santoro won the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships for the second straight year after a 6-3 7-5 victory over Prakash Amritraj.
After breaks in the first two games of the match, the Frenchman forged ahead with a second successive break of his Indian opponent's serve and closed out the first set in 30 minutes.
One break was enough in the second set for Santoro to claim his sixth ATP title - and become the third player in the history of the tournament to win it in successive years.
The victory was Santoro's 451st in a singles match on the ATP tour, a tally bettered only by Roger Federer, Carlos Moya and Lleyton Hewitt.
For Amritraj, the world No 305 and a wildcard entry, the $34,000 second prize more than doubled his winnings for 2008.
