Rafael Nadal claimed his fourth consecutive title at the Open Sabadell Atlantico with a 6-1 4-6 6-1 victory over Spanish compatriot David Ferrer on Sunday.
The result ensures a second trophy of the year for Nadal, both on clay. Last week, the world number two beat great rival Roger Federer in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters.
A claycourt master, Nadal is 117-3 on the surface since the start of 2005 and has won 103 of his last 104 matches on it.
Nadal improved his all-time record against the second-seeded Ferrer to 6-3, including 5-1 on clay.
The world number five, Ferrer was looking for his second title of the year after capturing the crown at Valencia earlier in the month.
