Spaniard Marcel Granollers-Pujol overcame six double faults to rally to a 6-4 1-6 7-5 triumph over James Blake in the final of the US Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston on Sunday.
The top-seeded Blake has 10 career titles to his credit - but zero on clay. The unheralded Granollers-Pujol, however, made his first ATP Tour final a successful one despite recording just once ace.
The 22-year-old Barcelona native was successful on 60 per cent of his first serves and took advantage of four double faults by Blake to emerge victorious in two hours, 12 minutes.
