Lleyton Hewitt will carry plenty of momentum into next week's Australian
Open.
Hewitt claimed his fourth straight Medibank International title, hammering the
Czech Republic's Ivo Minar 7-5 6-0 in the final.
The 23-year-old Hewitt is trying to become the first Australian to win the
Australian Open in 29 years. Before he begins that quest, he became the first
player to win four straight titles at the Sydney event since John Bromwich from
1937-1940.
Hewitt is the third seed at the Australian Open, but has never made it past
the fourth round.
The 20-year-old Minar, who is ranked 158th, was appearing in his first career
final.
