An awesome display by Roger Federer booked Switzerland's place in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup.
Federer dropped just three games in destroying France's Fabrice Santoro, giving the Swiss an unassailable 3-1 lead in the tie.
Santoro was a late stand-in for Sebastien Grosjean who picked up an injury during Friday's singles but was not up to the task in Toulouse.
Nicolas Escude won the final singles but it was not enough for the hosts.
The Swiss must now travel to Australia for their semi-final in September.
Elsewhere, the Aussies and Spain both completed 5-0 whitewashes in their ties against Sweden and Croatia respectively.
Both clashes had two 'dead' singles rubbers remianing on Sunday after the Australians and Spaniards wrapped up victory on Saturday.
Spain will host Argentina in the other semi.
They also won their quarter-final 5-0 with victories for Mariano Zabaleta and Gaston Gaudio in the dead rubbers against Russia - who relinquish their hold on the cup - on Sunday.
