Gilles Simon's clutch serving earned him a victory over defending champion Dmitry Tursunov in the final of the Indianapolis Tennis Championships on Sunday.
Simon saved all nine of Tursunov's break chances on the way to picking up his fourth career title and second of the year with a 6-4 6-4 win.
Including his semi-final win over American Sam Querrey at this hard-court tournament on Saturday, the Frenchman has saved 17 straight break chances.
It was a solid finish to the event for Simon, 23, who had issues with holding his serve while pulling out three-set wins in each of his first four matches of the tournament.
Tursunov was attempting to become the first player to successfully defend his title since Andy Roddick in 2003-04.
The third-seed upset top seed and 2006 champion James Blake in the semi-finals on Saturday.
