Andy Roddick won the Barclays Dubai Open on Saturday after coming from behind to beat Feliciano Lopez in three sets.
Spaniard Lopez won the first set on a tie-break but Roddick, who earlier this week announced he had split from his coach Jimmy Connors, hit back to win 6-7 (6/8) 6-4 6-2.
Roddick has made a fine start to the season and success in Dubai is his second title in 2008, and the 25th of his career, after he won in San Jose last month.
Roddick defeated two of the world's top three players en route to the final, beating world number three Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals and the second-ranked Rafael Nadal in the quarters.
"I'm excited," Roddick said. "I stated a couple of weeks ago that a big part of my decision to come here was to try to get a shot at the top players, and I was able to do that. Success here has made it look like it was a good idea."
