Belgian qualifier Steve Darcis defeated Austrian Werner Eschauer in the final of the Dutch Open 6-1 7-6 (7-1), for his first career tournament win.
Darcis eliminated No. 2 Mikhail Youzhny in the semi-finals on Saturday, rallying from a set down to upset his second seeded player and reach his first final.
He also stunned eighth-seeded Frenchman Marc Gicquel in straight sets in the first round.
The 297th-ranked player in the world, Darcis had it much easier in the title match against Eschauer, who also was playing in his first final.
