Fabrice Santoro clinched his first ATP title in five years on Sunday by winning the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.
The fourth-seeded Santoro defeated countryman Nicolas Mahut 6-4 6-4 in an all-French final.
For Santoro, it was his fifth career title, but first since he was victorious in Dubai in 2002.
Fifth-seeded Mahut, however, was unsuccessful in his second final in a month. Mahut, who has yet to win an ATP Tour crown, reached the title match at the Artois Championships before falling to four-time champion Andy Roddick.
On Sunday, Mahut can point to his 10 double-faults as to why he felt short.
